Ya! Monyet Belanda - That's how we called long-nosed monkey in here. Why Belanda? I'm not sure, probably because Dutch people was the first Caucasian people who visited Kalimantan earlier - no offense Steve, haha!
But first, before we talk about it. We went for breakfast at Depot Miki - all eyes on us! Yup, that's my first experience - all people instantly staring at us on the first step we enter the place - literary all eyes - everyone! Haha! Weird - like they never see bule before -_-! Today we had breakfast at Depot Miki. I got soto banjar and he got nasi kuning with egg and fish - taste so so.

Beaching before mangroving ;p
So, after weird staring breakfast we went to the beach - the one and only closest free beach ever! Haha! Banua Patra. It was pretty good, we walk along the beach until the rocky place. Then we are heading to mangrove! Yay!

Mangroving for the first time!
Yes, I used to lived close this neighborhood for almost 17 years, but I never ever visit this mangrove. Funny! In fact, the first mangrove I ever visited was in Surabaya. Back to Margomulyo mangrove, this place located near the "fisherman village". The entrance is quite hidden, you have to walk pass the houses. And ask someone about the gate keeper, in this case, we ask to the local at the last house before the entrance. Don't forget to give donation, so they can take care of this place.
Soon we enter the place, it's quite relaxing. We saw small colourful crabs, some fish who like unevolve pokemon - haha! birds, and also we found snake - who just jump into the branches -_-!

And here's the main star of this mangrove, Monyet Belanda. Haha! We are so lucky to see them, they are soo BIG - I'm scared!!! We only see them from distance - of course because I had bad experience with monkeys. We also saw some small monkey too. The only this that we missed is the crocodile - which we can see it later in other place.
After walking around and feels like national geographic photographer, we went out to check the other side of this mangrove. We met some kids and one of them is posing for us, haha! Cool kid!

So, it was pretty fun! The rest of the day we just went to the mall and watch a movie. Tomorrow, we will visit the Samboja Lodge to see the Orang Utan. So I wil see you in the next post soon - hopefully ^_^

Wow! It's been more than a year since my last post. Let's say I've been busy with my "life". Now, I'm still busy with my life anyway, but I'm trying to motivate my self to write again. So, back to topic - I actually just got back from Vietnam last week. After two weeks escape from the real life. So, I think it's the best time to write it now - before I forgot haha!

Counting the Days
We start to plan this trip earlier this year. Who are we? Well, you will know about it soon - haha! Well I actually start counting the days until we meet since June 6th 2016 - that's exactly 100 days before he fly to Indonesia. One day before he fly, his flight to Balikpapan was rescheduled and we have to get new flight because he can't make it - what a chaotic night for us T-T!

Big Day!
September 15th 2016, I have to pick him up at the airport - excitement and nervous. I went to the airport way to early - haha! It feels like one hour of torture until finally see him from distance - directly with bare eyes, not through camera, haha!

FINALLY, WELCOME TO BALIKPAPAN!

My first impression - well, he is a nice real human and tall ;p haha! Because I can see him from really really far distance. It was abit "krik-krik" momen at the first time, but went well, haha! Had some dinner and drop him to the hotel. So, I will continue to next post - soon - hopefully!

Last month I finally got my waffle maker and I did try to make waffle but it turn out bad. Maybe because I didn't measure the ingredients. So this time I try to make savory waffle and finally did it with the correct measurement. I found this recipe from Yummly app on my phone and as usual, I make only half recipe. Here's the half recipe of savory cheesy waffle.

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cups All purpose flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/8 cups Melted butter
  • 3/4 cups Milk
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 cups Grated cheddar cheese
Directions
  • Mixed all the dry ingredients together : all purpose flour, salt, pepper, baking powder and baking soda.
  • In other bowl, whisk together butter, egg and milk. Then add the dry ingredient and mixed it well. Do not over mix.
  • Add cheddar cheese and mix gently.
  • Heat up the waffle iron and add the batter into the plates. The amount of batter will depend on the size of the waffle iron.
  • Cook for 4-6 minutes until the waffles are starting to get crispy. Remove and let it cool. Done!
You can eat it as waffle sandwich. I prepare chicken and blue cheese for the filling. You can use anything you like for the filling or just eat it plain. My waffle turn to be super cheesy because I add more cheese on it (Haha!) but still good.

Ps : Click here for the original recipe.

Happy eating and speak soon,

I'm back! And Ramadhan will be over in few days. Speaking of Eid, I usually give some present to my both Grandma and my Quran teacher. This year, I'm too lazy to buy the money packet / envelope because mostly they don't have nice design. So, I decide to make it my self and start googling. I found some nice designs.

See how cute those money packet! Here's the link
  1. Sampul Duit, the Malaysian version of polkadot design from www.inmystudio.com.au
  2. Eid Money Pocket, the English version of polkadot design, also from www.inmystudio.com.au
  3. Money Packet, Elegan design from www.inmystudi.com.au. She have one package, including poster, lantern and bunting flags decoration with the same design. They also have the new design with pink and balck colour ;)
  4. Sakina Eid Envelope - Ocean, bigger envelope for adult in ocean colour from www.sakinadesign.com
  5. Sakina Eid Envelope - Plum, bigger envelope in plum colour from www.sakinadesign.com
You might see slight different colours in my picture. Yes! It's different colours, but I didn't edit it, it just the printer. I guess I ran out of red colour, so it turn out more colourful for the sakina envelope.
But, I'm happy with the result. The colours is bright!
So, I wish you all bless for the Eid, happy

Eid Mubarak!! Taqabbala allahu minna wa minkum. May Allah accept from you and us.

This is the 5th part! Can't believe it's already the 5th, lol! Because too many pictures I want to share. Still in day two at Tokyo, after visit Meiji Jinju, we still around Harajuku station. The station look a little bit different, not like other stations (don't count Tokyo station). Isn't it nice?! There's a street performance too!
Our next target is buy shoes! Why? Because I wear the wrong shoes, perfect for winter but not for a whole day walk, haha! So we just follow the crowded, haha! no where to go :p We found another Koyo across the Harajuku station, it says the tree is old enough so we not allowed touch it. And hey, it's winter sale! Should get winter coat for my self. Haha!
We walk to Takeshita street, and it was really crowded. Yes! It's Sunday, super crowded, hehe! I wish I could go there on other day XD. And shoes hunting is start. Haha! Everything looks really nice and cute in here T_T I want to buy all. It's kinda hard to find someone with costume on Sunday, I saw one, but can't take a picture. So I just took picture of the waitress with nice outfit. Also saw the cosplay store.
I was like, where the hell is Harajuku street. I feel lost, haha! We are hungry! And it was cold and decide to go inside random building. And guess what?! On the foodcourt area, there's idol show. Haha! I don't know them, but so crowded and we decide to go out. It's on the fifth floor with manual stairs XD. And finally! We found it! The lost street, lol!
See, not as crowded as in Takeshita street. Since we hungry, and don't want to line up for the famous crepe, we went to Tokyu Plaza, with big hope we can eat. The main entrance was awesome! With lots of mirror. The food area is in the top of the building, we climb there (haha :p) and guess what, super long line XD. So we go down with heart broken, haha!
We finally decide to go back to Takeshita street to find food. And finally! Eat some spaghetti. I don't remember the name, but it's delicious! And the restaurant also nice :)
It's already dark after we eat and cold. We heading to station and look those sign board. That's my company I work for. Haha! +7 celcius, quite cold (of course with strong wind XD). We also find Lotteria in here. I was asking my sister to eat there, but she says no (of course, we are in Japan, not Korea, haha!)
As usual, on the way home, we got another food again. Haha! Cold weather makes us hungry all time.
What a wonderful day even it was cold! We went shopping for shoes, winter clothes and also got new luggage :p. See ya until next post!

A Garlic day! You can say that! I've been craving for chicken, especially Thai chicken. Finally! I found the easy one, and have most of the ingredients. Yes, I skipped some ingredients. So, let's start my own recipe!
Ingredients
  • 4 Quarter of Chicken
  • 5 Tbsp Honey
  • 7 - 8 Cloves Garlic, depend how strong you want to taste the garlic
  • 1 piece of fresh Lemon Grass, finely chopped
  • Lime or Lemon Juice
  • Soy Sauce
  • Chili Flakes, Salt, Pepper
  • Vegetable oil
Directions
  • Mixed all the marinated ingredients : honey, garlic, lemon grass, lime juice, soy sauce, chili flakes, salt, pepper and vegetable oil. Mixed it well and taste it. It should be sweet and sour taste. If you like more spicy you can add more chili flakes or if you like sour you can add more lime juice.
  • Add the chicken and marinated.
