So last week was a busy busy week, because one of the bosses come to visit. It was a "surprise" visit, because I knew she will come night before she come next morning. So, this is cause all the collages we supposed to see are busy. This visits totally just for interviewing new employer. Since, my boss have nothing to do for two nights, we decide to eat somewhere nice. First night, we went to my favorite Bubur Ayam Samarinda restaurant. Because I thought she haven't try anything from here. Too bad, I forgot to take picture. Maybe next time if I eat there again, I will take picture.  I also stay one night at hotel with awesome city view (I posted on my Instagram). It was at the 11th floor.

Back to topic. On the second night, we decide to eat seafood. So, I told her, let's go at Ocean Restaurant. The restaurant have cozy place next to beach (even you can't see anything at night ;p). This restaurant have many menu like from eastern to western. This time, we try this square fish, Squid with Green Chili and Salty Egg Crab. When the fish come, I was like, OMG! look at it face lol! I don't take picture of the crab (even they  serve it really beautiful), because we already hungry, and eat it right when it come to our table.

Mean Face Fish ;p
So, the fish, taste like fish hehe..It just have "nice presentation". The squid, just like normal squid and chili didin't too hot. But the crab, taste GOOD! I guess this is the best crab I ever try (the Black Pepper Crab also good!). Next time I go here with my parents, I will order that crab! ^^

Mangrove, actually we can find mangrove forest in my city, Balikpapan. But until now, I don't get a chance to visit that place. Funny, the first mangrove forest I visit was in Surabaya, East Java. It was boring weekend until my couchsurfing friend tell me about the mangrove near her friend's house. So, we decide to go there. Viola! This place called Ekowisata Mangrove Wonorejo, located near from Juanda airport. What you can see in this place, mangrove (of course), birds and monkeys. This mangrove separate into two areas. The first area, you can go there walking from the main entrace, and it's short walk with deadend. This area have newer wooden bridge, you will see what I mean when you see the 2nd area. And the most important thing about this first area you don't have to pay anything, so just walk in.

1st area, deadend, with Mita
Another shoot with Ubay

Going to 2nd area, we have to take boat and its not free. I forgot how much we have to pay, but if you want to see the real mangrove, then go for it! The boat can take around 15 passengers, and it takes about 15-20 minutes to the "mangrove farm".

The 2nd area quite "traditional", because they still use bamboo bridge. It looks nice but you have to walk carefully.

The bridge will lead you to the "farm". As you can see, the Pertamina build this place. They have plant lots of mangrove. And they also have place where you can chill out after long walk. When I got there, they are building something, I'm not sure what it is. But one thing that missed in this place, they supposed to prepare drinking water because its really hot in there.

Mangrove Plantation
Waiting here for 2 hours XD

It was a FUN day, until we realize that the boat left us like for 2 hours. Stuck in the middle of nowhere, no food, no drink, low battery phone. We are trying to call the officer, but too bad, the one we contact not work in there anymore. After a very long waiting, the boat coming. The boat have to leave us because there's kid, crying and he want to go back. If we arrive 3 minutes earlier to the dock, we wont missed the boat and don't have to wait that long. But that's adventure! Hehe..

I can't even pass one pipe. But now, I'm more expert, hehe. Here's my latest score, yea I know, people out there probably got more scores than mine XD

So, what's your score so far? ;)

Two days ago, I got another postcard from Germany. Yeah, seems like lots of postcrosser from Germany. I choose not to set “not receive from the same country” on my postcrossing account because I love to receive any card from anyone, any place. But, maybe if I think I have enough postcard from one country, maybe I will change that setting.
Back to the postcard. This time I receive postcard from Rostock, eastern part of Germany. The card show a snowy building, or you can called it a house or something.  There’s something written in there “Reetcahhauser in Wustrow” and I don’t know what in mean ;p

I have one address waiting for my postcard, but I don’t have a chance to go to post office, Yea, I’m too lazy. But I must send it soon, have to be in this month. So, let’s keep the postcrossing spirit!

Last night, before watch The Legend of Hercules, my sister and I decided to have some dinner at our favorite pancake restaurant. And as usual, my sister order Chicken Basili and I want waffle. This time I try Bavarian waffle. It says, a pancake/waffle with apple, syrup and vanilla ice cream. I never try this one, so I was thinking it would be nice to try. My sister warn me, that it will be super sour because of the apple thing and I didn't listen to her and keep order it. Viola! Our food is coming!

Bavarian waffle, Chicken Basilia, Fruit Punch and Lychee iced tea

It looks yummy! Look how big is my smile before I try it (excuse my big hair ;p). Haha! I even send this picture to my German friends, "Yo! I'm eating Bavarian waffle".

But when I try, those BIG smile gone! I was thinking there's must be something special with the apple. The apple and the syrup (I don't know if its syrup or just the water from the apple) have no taste at all. The waffle, just like ordinary waffle, its not too sweet as usual. Thank God there's still vanilla ice cream that make this food have taste ;p. Maybe the chef forgot to put the syrup or something, or maybe that's the real Bavarian waffle, I'm not sure. I asked my German friend, and he said he don't know that Bavarian have waffle, all he knows is pretzel or brezzel, lol! So, noted to my self, don't order that waffle! They have the best chocolate waffle in city!

I'm not trying to judge this restaurant, because this is the first time I try that waffle and taste really weird. Only one time, failure fish chips, but at the other branch, in different city. So the chef must be different too (unless the chef fly so just to make fish chips for me? That's impossible!).

Start this month of love with lots of smiling, especially my mailbox! YES this early month, I already got three postcards! Yay! So, two day ago I got my third postcard from Netherland. It’s a postcard with an ice skating place in Netherland . I’m not sure it’s a ice ring, because there are some boats there, maybe it’s a port.  This postcard sent in vintage recycle envelope, and it’s really beautiful. And also the stamp, I really like it, just like one of my postcard design, a tree. But I can’t really see the words on it.
Postcard from Netherland
And yesterday, I got two postcards, from Germany and Estonia. This is my 7th postcards from Germany, and this one came from Berlin. It show the Berliner Dom, a cathedral in Berlin. Nice and fancy, just like other European architecture.
Postcard from Germany
And the last postcard, is from Eesti or well known as Estonia. This is my first Estonian card, and it’s really beautiful J The card shows three different things in Estonia. The first Barge ride on river Emanjogi, the second one shows the town hall of Tartu and the third one shows the Tartu botanical garden. The stamps also nice, and I think it’s Christmassy theme.
First postcard from Estonia

My mailbox is smiling, so do I ;) Happy Postcrossing!
