Last week, I had crazy yoga addict sessions. I took four classes last week (usually only twice a week), because I had to exchange this week class due to holidays. And I got one free class (the fourth class), since my yoga teacher wants me to practice more. So I join one of his classes. He said this time is yoga beach time, that's why I'm so excited. He have class in one of the biggest hotel in the city, and the hotel is right next to beach ^^.

It was an exciting Sunday! It's kinda look like private beach. Very quite and relaxing. I was trying to take panorama picture, but I can't focus and the picture end up like this XD haha!

It's only 7 people came. So, it was good! My teacher can correct everyone pose. As usual, it's mostly balancing poses.

Oh, I wish I can do yoga at the beach everyday. Hear the sound, so relaxing. And see those tree when you lay down. What a beautiful day. And the last, take picture with the all the member today!

Can't wait to go there again this tomorrow ^^. Namaste!

This morning, I finally go to morning yoga class! Even I came 15 minutes late XD. I woke up super early this morning (around 2 am) and I can't go back to sleep. So the whole early morning, I was in bed, watching TV and texting a friend. He said this morning yoga class will be funny because I will fall asleep in class XD. But the fact, I fell asleep in my bed. And wake up super late, around 7.30 am. I was feeling abit exhausted and dizzy and finally left home at 7.58 am. Haha! I know I will be late.

So this is my first Saturday class in my life ;p and my first morning yoga class ever. I went this morning, because it was holiday on Thursday and I have to go to yoga class twice a week (I don't want to miss any class). Today, the teacher is different, a beautiful old woman (a friend said she's 60's), and she teach us with this big ball. I thought this is will be easy, I'm WRONG! This is hard! It only took 5 minutes to make me sweat alot. The first pose I tried was Warrior 1, and it's hard, maybe because I don't used with the ball. Usually I can do it easily. This is more challenging, even the downward dog pose become hard with this big ball.

Source
That's one of the pose I did today. The teacher said, this workout is more about strength and flexibility. I just read some articles about the Ball, and just realize every person need different ball size. Here's the guidance from WikiHow to choose your ball based on your height.

Source
  • 5 feet or shorter (152.4 cm), this is my size, the ball will be 18 inches (45 cm) ball.
  • 5 feet 1 inch (155 cm) to 5 feet 7 inches (170 cm), then try 22 inches (55 cm) ball.
  • 5 feet 8 inches (173 cm) to 6 feet 1 inch (185), try 26 inches (65 cm) ball
  • And if you are 6 feet 2 inches or taller, 30 inches (75 cm) is your ball.
Note : Choose a larger ball if you have back problems, long legs or for stretching and yoga exercises.

So, the conclusion today, it's ok to use bigger ball for yoga exercises. Haha! I was thinking the ball that I use this morning way to big for my size ;p The last week on this month, I will have another Saturday morning class (two holidays on my regular yoga class). I hope next time I will get a chance to try it again from the beginning (noted to my self : don't be late!). Happy Yoga and Namaste!

As you know, I have been starting taking yoga class again this month after a year break. And it makes me have more energy! I think I have to keep up my yoga spirit on "fire" that's why I start to google stuff about yoga. I also what to improve my skills, because after the 3rd class, my yoga instructure ask if I want to be his assistant or something. While googling, I found this beautiful image below and I was like this is true. How yoga transforms my body, I can even feel the different after day 1 I started the class.

I don't know how, but I still have my flexibility even after 1 year break. I didn't get much trouble doing poses (especially stretching poses). And I still can keep my balancing too! It feels great since the day I started yoga again. But sometime I feel a little pain, maybe because I force my self too much. I like being able to do every poses perfectly or as good as I can.

So I think everybody should start yoga too! It's good and have many benefit! I print this image and I will put it in my room, so I can keep my yoga spirit on "fire"! Let's yoga! Namaste!

Finally, I don't get too lazy to print my postcards! This is some of pictures that I took while traveling. The picture quality is actually good and bright, but I don't know somehow when I print it, it become more darker XD (maybe need to adjust the brightness or something).

These three postcards below are in landscape size (210 x 100 cm). Printed on glossy photo paper with laser printer. It have matte finishing (because of the laser printer), but I will protect it with glossy clear spray, so it will last longer and the color wont faded. So, the end finishing is glossy.

And the others, are in potrait size (14.75 x 10.5 cm). Printed is the same paper as the previous one, but I already adjust the brightness. So this one not too dark. The paper quality is a little bit slight (200 gsm)

Those five postcards are ready for swap. If you like one of those postcard, just contact me!

As you know two days ago was May Day, and it means day off from work! Actually this year is our first time (in Indonesia) to get May Day as national holiday! Yay! I have many things to do on my minds for this day. But, mum ruined it in early morning. Haha! She make us (me, my sister and dad) to go to the beach with my brother and his coworker. Yes, my brother and his coworker planed to have beachy time with their family and my mum was so exciting to take Baby Z to the beach for the first time. She even say "I want to ride ATV and stuff" like ten times that morning. Haha!
My brother and his wife go earlier, and we (me, my sister, mum, dad and of course Baby Z) leave around 9 am. We are going to Lamaru beach, which located somewhere far away from city, lol, it's about 30 minutes driving from home.

So, we arrived there, not much people this morning. The beach is better than last time I went there. More neat and the facilities better. So we just sat under the tree and looking at the beach.

After 1 hour, I decided to take Baby Z playing with sand. Yay! At first she was fine until I put her standing on sand. She start making weird faces, lol. And, when the water come, she freaking out! Haha! And start crying, lol! We also make her sit on sand. And again, she start crying. It's a little hard to put her on sand alone, because corals everywhere. She even have to stand on my feet in the water. Too bad we don't bring extra clothes (me, my sis or my brother), if not she will be in water.

After playing dirty, we took her to clean up her feet. We wash her feet and again she start crying, lol. I tried to make her stand on the grass and yea, she start crying again, lol. She usually like playing water when shower time. I guess she still scared with the beach sound.

Around 12pm, the sea began to recede and I think I want to try to take Baby Z again before home. And this is how she reacted. Wet sand, no water, and not crying ^^ Yay!  But it only last for 5 minutes until she cry again, Haha!

We left the beach early, but it was fun day :) Next time we will take her to beach near our house. So, how do you spend your May Day this year??

Finally! After one year, yea! One year break from yoga. Haha! It started last year, when I went to South Korea for two weeks holiday. Then got new job, got two months job training three days after back from Seoul. That's all make my yoga spirit messed up! Two months in Surabaya for training, I can't find yoga class near my place. And back from there, was too lazy! I started to do yoga at home with new yoga mat, which I found out it have bad quality and super slippery XD. Then I stop doing yoga at home. On September 2013, i started join dad's trekking group every Saturday. I thought it was enough, but last week we walk about 2,5 hours trekking and my chest feel hurts real bad. So, no more excuses, I have to back to do yoga!

Yesterday, was the first day! It was fun and great! Yesterday, Kevin lead us, and as usual he like to use me as example in doing some poses XD. I can feel all my muscles stretched up. Even it just the beginner workout.

So this month, I also want to challenge my self to do 30 Days Plank Challenge. Actually I want to do it last month, but It already mid April. There's lots of 30 day workout challenges in here. They also have the apps for android and iphone. But it's not free and I can't download it XD can't connect my Google wallet to my cards. Back to plank challenge, since I can't download the app (I have to figure it out later) I decide to print the schedule from other source. You must be wondering, why plank challenge. I know this pose long time ago when I start yoga, and I love it. I can feel my abs working. This picture will explain the best thing about plank.

Source

See! It's simple and won't take much time. But, you have to be careful when doing it. Here's how to do a plank :

  1. Get in the pushup position, and put your forearms on the ground instead of your hands. Your elbows should line up directly underneath your shoulders and toes on the ground.
  2. Push off the floor, raising up off your knees onto your toes and resting mainly on your elbows.
  3. Squeeze your glutes and tighen your abs. Keep a neutral neck and spine.
  4. Keep you back flat -strong line from head to toes.
  5. Hold as long as you can

Source

Thisngs to Remember
  1. Look down at the ground! First time trying plank pose, I didn't look down and it cause pain on my neck.
  2. Don't let your hips down to the ground. Sagging hips make the exercise initially easier, but it's not a plank and it defeats the purpose of the exercise.
  3. Breathe! Slowly, steady, breathe in and out with your nose (not your mouth). You are not doing yourseld any good if you hold your breath.

So, here's the challenge schedule. I already skip day-1, but I did more on yoga class yesterday. We will see the result next month! (I will try to do the update every week)
